Ballyhack
Ballyhack: Is a small traditional fishing village located on the eastern side of Waterford Estuary approximately 25 minutes from the town of New Ross, 40 minutes from Wexford Town and 45 minutes from the city of Waterford. When travelling from Waterford, Ballyhack can be easily reached by using the Passage East Car Ferry. When travelling from New Ross or Wexford direction one can also use the signs for the Passage East Car Ferry as a useful guide.


Dunmore East
Dunmore East: Is located on the western side of the Waterford Harbour 12km from Waterford City. What was once a small fishing village over the years has grown into one of Ireland’s premier fishing ports and a major tourist destination in the southeast of Ireland. A picturesque village which attracts large numbers of visitors throughout the year and has a population of approx. 1500 and boasts a wide range of services including bars, restaurants, hotels and self-catering accommodation.

The Skipper Walter Foley is a local man who has extensive knowledge of the Waterford Estuary. His many years of experience on both fishing boats and pilot boats in and around Waterford Harbour, has given him an in-depth knowledge of the Waterford Estuary, its tidal tendencies, its folklore and its traditions.
The tour Guide Bob Doyle, has years experience as a tour guide in many of the Hook Peninsula’s iconic heritage attractions. They include Hook Lighthouse, Duncannon Fort and Dunbrody Abbey. Bob has an extensive knowledge of the maratime heritage and history of the area. He has completed an Hon’s degree in Culture and Heritage in Carlow Institute of Technology.

The Boat

The Orinoco
The Orinoco is a 40ft Lochin Sports Cruiser. Due to its superb build quality and powerful 450hp engine the Orinoco is capable of cruising at speeds of up to 15 knots and can accommodate 12 passengers plus 2 crew ensuring a pleasant and comfortable trip. The Orinoco is fully licenced and insured to the Department of Marine specifications, and is fitted with up to date safety equipment including Radar, Plotter, G.P.S., Colour Sounders, V.H.F. Radio and Auto Pilot. There is also indoor seating plus a toilet and galley onboard.
